Family research consulting
On Saturday, March 16, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., there was the opportunity to get advice on all questions relating to the topic of “family research”. In cooperation between the Planegg municipal archive and the Bavarian State Association for Genealogy (BLF), visitors were able to submit a topic, which was then dealt with expertly, personally and individually in a 45-minute consultation.
Barbara Reinicke, the head of the Planegg municipal archive, had enthusiastically received the topics in advance and carried out initial preliminary research. Mr. Müller, district group leader of the Upper Bavaria district group of the BLF, which was responsible for the content of the day, collected the inquiries and assigned the consultants to the respective discussions. With the support of members of the Upper Bavaria district group, the premises of the Planegg municipal archive were transformed into a temporary “center for family research”, according to Ms. Reinicke. Not only the head of the archive, but also all the visitors were enthusiastic across the board. I was also able to provide tips, assistance and initial research for four requests for help.
